What is Spaze Studio all about?
Spaze Studio is a unique digital media production company that specializes in providing personalized architectural 3D animation services and advanced tools for Property Makers, Real Estate Agents, Developers, Architects, Designers and Advertising Agencies.

Spaze Studio was founded in 2006 as a 3 person architectural design firm in New Delhi , India . Almost 8 months back, the company diversified its business into architectural visualization and emerged as a medium sized firm of highly talented people with a passion for visualization in 3D. After carving a unique niche in the Indian market, the company today with its team of 12 people is ready for its debut on the global platform with a bold statement in time and space.
What is the benefit I get by outsourcing my work to your firm?
•  Not only our outstanding quality in terms of high end photorealistic renderings and animations help architects, designers and developers to sell their thought process / design / product to their clients but one of the prime benefits that firms get out of us is the savings in the cost of production.

•  We are 50 – 60% less expensive in terms of production costs when compared to an in-house or a third party vendor in US / UK / Australia for the same standard and quality of architectural visualization results.

•  So, outsourcing the value added services to us helps the design firms to invest their time and resources more on the core design activities which are their prime focus rather than production. By cutting their cost on visualization services, they can spend more on the design infrastructure.

•  And last but not the least, the production center which is like your own studio on the other side of the world increases your production hours due to the time difference. So, it also improves your delivery commitments to your clients.

How do you do business with your clients located offshore?
Communication is the keynote to success for any remote production process be it onshore or offshore outsourcing. Communication is the strength of Spaze because of which the geographical barrier looses its importance.
  • We have a dedicated high speed broadband connection with multiple FTP for the transfer of heavy files.
  • Very soon, we are planning to set up dedicated VOIP lines for our USA customers so that they can reach us locally.
  • We are also trying to extend our contact centers globally so that our client gets a feeling of their own office on the other side of the world giving them full control and freedom.

We believe in following a documented methodology for every project and maintain a complete process transparency with our clients. So we follow a simple three step outsourcing model, and at every stage, we keep you informed.

STEP - I (CONSULTING AND ANALYSIS)
- You send us the AutoCAD files along with exact scope of work to quote our prices.
- Our Architects and Designers Study the files and create an effort/ price estimation document for your approvals.
- The work starts after approvals from your end.


STEP - II (DEVELOPMENT AND MONITORING)

- 50% of the estimated project value is sent to us Via Paypal or Wire Transfer into our bank account by the partner within 3 working days after signing of the project.
- We proceed with the project as per our standard process.
- Approvals are taken from you at each stage.
- The project is delivered through an FTP shown over the internet.


STEP - III (DOCUMENTATION AND SUPPORT)
- You suggest any post production changes if required.
- Any major changes if required at this stage are billed extra.
- We deliver the project to your satisfaction and invoice you for the same.

How do you train your staff to match up with your client's standards and expectations?
Our target market being real estate developers, architects and consulting companies all around the globe, we acknowledge the importance of understanding what our client needs at all levels.

We have the best of Marketing & Communication experts, Architects, AutoCAD specialists, 3d modelers, Lighting experts and Animators who are graduates from the prestigious colleges of art, architecture and design, and varied fields and have mastered the art of understanding varied needs of customers and create easy-to-understand, high impact, and quick-to-inspire Architectural renderings and Animations.

We strongly believe in first recruiting high caliber professionals , then nurture and retain them. We make sure that our team is exposed to the latest in technology by continuously upgrading their knowledge through tutorial subscriptions, workshops and seminars both, in-house and off site.

With each project we do, we travel up the learning curve and over periods of time have developed a rich experience about the visualization industry.

How do you ensure the confidentiality of your client's intellectual properties?
Spaze's systems and commitments ensure absolute confidentiality. Spaze maintains strict confidentiality agreements with both clients and employees, and operates within a secure environment and network, granting access to project information only to current project managers. We ensure that:
  • It is important for you to know that Spaze keeps all your information safely and with discretion, especially considering that your competitors may also be our clients. It is also important that you to understand that we will not divulge any specific information to you about our clients in the industry, as even you won't appreciate us to share your intellectual properties to others.
  • If at all some specific information has to be shared or publicized, a prior and a written approval is taken from the client.
  • It is also important for you to initially identify something which is highly confidential to you and the message should be conveyed across. Everyday business practices can unintentionally leak small amounts of information, such as a simple trip to the copy shop, or someone passing a computer screen. Highly sensitive information is treated with even more care than normal, so please identify anything that is critical.

All the staffs at Spaze are trained to respect and adhere to these confidentiality policies.

Is there any bench mark for the scale of projects you undertake? How small and big projects your firm undertake?
There is no as such benchmark for the scale of projects rather we give more stress to the regularity in the flow of work which is a motivation for us to work. We aim to build a long term working relationship with our clients. So, the size of the firm or size of the project doesn't matter for us. Every project is unique in itself and we give equal time and attention to each and every project no matter how big or small it is.

However, we don't believe in ‘Mass Production' and ‘Mc.perspectives' concept. We have a strong and highly skilled development team to render any challenging projects.

Small firms outsource their visualization works whenever they have a requirement and save their money considerably without investing their resources and infrastructure on building a visualization team which they require once in blue moon.

On the hand big firms, save enormously on their production cost by outsourcing works to us rather than building an in-house visualization team. This helps them to concentrate more on the core design activities which is their prime focus. So, they limit their visualization team without further investing more on it and outsource the surplus works to us. The outsourced value added work may vary from 10% to more than 60 % works.

Explain me your process methodology. Describe your work process.
We at Spaze Studio maintain a complete transparency with our clients by following a documented methodology for every Visualization project. Regular approvals are taken at subsequent stages to avoid any communication gaps and re-work, which helps us deliver on time, every time. Our approach to work is demonstrative of the great significance we attach to the invaluable feedback from our esteemed patrons.

- We model as per the architectural drawings sent by the client in .dwg / .dxf format
- Material Textures and Lighting is done as per actual specifications provided by the client.
- The interiors created are based on approvals on the elements to be used (normally, picture approvals are taken). Either the client can support his idea by graphics or pictures from journals or we can use our own material library.
- Perspectives are generated from various angles so that the character of each space, whether interior or exterior, reflects flawlessly.
- Camera Motion is decided and a camera path movie is shown to the client.
- The files are processed after inducing the necessary changes in camera positioning and receiving subsequent approvals from the clients.
- Post Production happens as the final step.

We provide our clients with a dedicated FTP link for the transfer of heavy files. Our architecturally trained project manager understands the intricacies of the design and development process, and is allocated for your project to cater to any of your design queries or inputs. How do you charge for the project you undertake and are there any thumb rule or pricing model for the same?
We have our project managers experienced in estimating and tracking project progress, finding and making the most of available resources, and managing project risk. They prepare the scope of work and estimate the total hours the team would require to deliver the project. They are always in action monitoring the project closely and also act as a bridge between the client and the development team.

We have a formal documented business model to follow however we accentuate more on the Flat Project Fee Model as it is more lucrative for our clients and the don't have to pay for little bit revision works.

Flat Project Fee Model
A steal deal and popular model with most of our clients, the Flat Fee model is generally employed when the scope of work and specifications of the project are in a state where they can be well documented without any ambiguities. This model gives the client an assurance of on-time, on-budget delivery. Here all costs are clearly defined with neatly categorized component costs as well to avoid confusion in case of any scope change exceptions.

In this model the client remits a fixed price for the entire project, which in turn is linked to well-defined deliverables. If in case the scope goes beyond the agreed upon the client can very well assign a cost for the extra scope of work by referring to our component cost sheet. The entire project lifecycle is communicated in advance to the client as well as documented at various stages.


Time Based Fee Model
For large architectural visualization project where the scope of work, specifications and development plans are not very easy to define in the initial stages, our Time Based Fee Model comes into picture and gives us a feeling of relief. In this model, the client pays a predefined hourly or per day rate for various kinds of skill sets required for his project. Our project management team ensures that the transparency of this model is completely maintained by sending weekly task sheets for each technician assigned on the project to the client.

What are your hourly rates?
We rarely follow this model as our clients ends up paying more for a particular project. Rather, we try and help them to freeze their design process and once they are clear about the scope of work from their extent, we offer them the Fixed Project Fee Model. However, even if we do a reverse mathematical calculation for our price estimation, our rates won't be less than 50 USD / hour. For more on the exact pricing, we encourage our customers to email us the CAD drawings along with the images, photographs and sketches for reference.

How do you address to the exchange of data as a method of communication?

How many employees work in your organization and what are their skill sets?
All our clients are serviced exclusively by a dedicated team comprising of 12 highly qualified and experienced architects and Interior Designers, AutoCAD specialists, 3D Modelers, Lighting and Animation Experts. A project manager is assigned who maintains a close supervision over his or her team and also the key personnel ensuring continuity of communications and coordination with the client.
Can you provide me with the reference of existing clients?
Spaze is a very transparent company however contractually we cannot provide any specific information regarding our clients. But we do provide certain general information about the projects we did and for that we expect you to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement with us for the protection of any form of information pertaining to our clients or their project.
What are your business hours?
We work from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. However, depending upon the geographical location of our clients, our project managers can alter their timings if in case client communication is required. So, project managers are available on phone 24 X 7.
